Hawaiian Pineapple Bacon Jammers August 31 2013


  • 1 fresh pineapple 
  • 6 oz The Bacon Jams All Original Spreadable Bacon 


Move over, Hawaiian Punch, it's time for Hawaiian Jam!

This is a simple, sweet appetizer or even a dessert! Peel your pineapple and slice it into 1.5-inch pieces, saving the top of the pineapple with leaf for later. Sear the pieces on high heat in a well seasoned pan for 45 seconds per side, or until each side is nicely caramelized. Place the pieces on a cutting board until cool enough to handle. Cut the pieces into cube chunks, discarding the core piece. Top a few pieces of pineapple with The Bacon Jams All Original Spreadable Bacon and place them and the remaining pineapple decoratively around the pineapple top on a serving plate. Set the remaining bacon jam in a jar or bowl for dipping or spreading.
